Information you give us.
- Your name and contact details.
- The subject of your enquiry and the message you send.
- Preferred days, times and contact method.
- Booking, attendance and service information.
- Payment and accounting information where relevant. Card details are not collected through the contact form.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Information collected automatically.
When you visit the site or submit the form, the website, hosting service and security tools may process limited technical information. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, date and time, the page requested, server logs and the outcome of an anti-spam check.
Most information is collected directly from you. Technical information is collected automatically when your browser communicates with the website.
HOW AND WHY IT IS USED
Purposes and lawful bases.
Alice will only use personal information when there is a lawful reason to do so:
- To answer an enquiry, discuss suitable services and arrange a booking: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you.
- To provide classes or individual support and communicate about them: to perform a contract with you and, where appropriate, for Alice’s legitimate interest in providing and administering her services.
- To operate and secure the website, prevent spam, troubleshoot problems and maintain business records: Alice’s legitimate interests in running a safe and effective service.
- To keep tax, payment and other records required by law: compliance with a legal obligation.
- To use health information you voluntarily provide: your explicit consent, alongside the relevant lawful basis above.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims: legitimate interests and, where special-category information is involved, the applicable legal-claims condition.
Where Alice relies on legitimate interests, she considers whether the use is necessary and balanced against your rights. Personal information is not sold and is not used for unrelated advertising.
HEALTH INFORMATION
Extra care for sensitive details.
Information about health, disability, injury or recovery is classed as special-category data under UK data protection law. It receives additional protection.
Please share only what is necessary.
You may choose to mention information relevant to post-concussion support, balance, mobility, accessibility or safe participation. Alice will use it only to respond, discuss suitable options, adapt a service where needed and help manage safety.
By actively agreeing to the health-information statement on the contact form, you give explicit consent to this use. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting Alice, although this will not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Please do not use the website form for urgent or emergency medical help.
MESSAGES & EMAIL
The contact form.
Contact-form submissions are sent to Alice by email. A secure administrative copy may also be retained within the website if message storage is enabled, so enquiries can be followed up and recovered if an email is lost.
Access is limited to Alice and authorised website administrators or technical support where necessary. Sending an enquiry does not add you to a marketing list.
SPAM PROTECTION
Cloudflare Turnstile.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish genuine visitors from automated spam. To perform the check, Cloudflare may process technical details such as your IP address, browser or device information, the website hostname and a security result.
This is used for the legitimate interest of keeping the site and inbox secure. Read the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy for more information.
Who information may be shared with.
Information is only shared where needed with trusted organisations or people that support the service, including:
- website and email hosting providers;
- WordPress, form, security and technical-support providers;
- Cloudflare for Turnstile spam protection;
- payment, accounting, insurance or professional advisers where relevant; and
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities when legally required.
Service providers are only permitted to use information for the services they provide and must protect it appropriately. Personal information is never sold.
International processing.
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. When this happens, information must be protected through a UK adequacy regulation, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Automated decisions
Alice does not use your personal information to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects. Turnstile makes an automated security assessment only to help block spam or abuse.
How long information is kept.
- General enquiries that do not lead to a service: normally up to 12 months after the last contact.
- Booking, service and correspondence records: for as long as needed to provide the service, deal with follow-up questions and meet legal or insurance requirements.
- Payment and accounting records: normally six years after the end of the relevant financial year.
- Health or accessibility information: only for as long as it remains necessary for the agreed service, safety, legal or insurance purposes.
- Security and server logs: for the short period reasonably required for security and troubleshooting, according to provider settings.
Information may be kept longer if required by law, an insurer, a dispute or a legal claim. When it is no longer needed, it will be deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.
Security and cookies.
Keeping information secure
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information, including encrypted website connections, access controls, software updates and spam protection. No internet or email system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Cookies and similar technology
The site may use technology that is strictly necessary for security, forms and WordPress administration. Cloudflare Turnstile uses technical signals and short-lived identifiers for security and is not used by Alice for advertising. At the date of this notice, the site is not intended to use advertising cookies. If analytics, marketing or other optional tools are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated.
YOUR CHOICES
Your data-protection rights.
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- ask for information to be deleted;
- ask for use of your information to be restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time where consent is relied upon.
These rights are not absolute and the response may depend on the lawful basis and any legal exceptions. Alice may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. There is normally no fee.
To exercise a right, email alice@lochbroomyoga.scot with the subject “Privacy request”.
Questions or concerns.
Please contact Alice first if you have a question or concern about how your information has been handled. She will do her best to resolve it.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit the ICO complaints page for current contact options.
